Dac Carver "grew up" in the real estate business as the son of a real estate broker in Charleston, SC and Kiawah Island, SC in the 1980s and '90s. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and obtained his first real estate license in 1992.
The initial decade of Dac's career was spent in sales and marketing roles for residential builders and developers. His first job was as Director of Community Marketing for the largest master-planned developer in the United States. In this role, he was a crucial player in the developer's first-ever expansion into other master-planned communities. After several years, Dac was hired to dual roles as Director of Builder-Developer Services and Corporate Marketing Director for the largest real estate brokerage firm in Georgia (GMAC Real Estate). Dac managed a team of more than 30 new home sales agents to service 16 builder accounts. His corporate marketing team supported 2,000 agents and were responsible for numerous local and national marketing awards.
In 2007, Dac got the opportunity to lead a start-up residential real estate company in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. Despite the Great Recession, Dac grew the firm to REAL Trends 500 member in just five years. Dac ultimately presided over a firm with nearly $700 million in annual sales and 120 agents and employees in 2018. Perhaps most notably, Dac's agent team was the highest earning in the city of Atlanta all 12 of his years there and five of those years the brokerage had the top producing agent in the city. Many of his top producers were new or newer to the business. Dac found training and mentoring new agents the most rewarding part of his Atlanta real estate career.
In July 2019, he and Andy Pressley formed Carver Pressley, REALTORS®. Dac and Andy hold similar beliefs in their approach to the business ("just sell houses and have fun"). They also have complementing skill sets which is important in any successful partnership. Their fathers were both real estate brokers as well. Dac is the operating partner and sales manager for the firm's two Charlotte offices. In this role he will focus on agent recruiting, development and support, establishing company culture and marketing systems, and helping agents achieve their goals with an "all hands on deck" attitude to every deal or client. To that end, Dac is committed to providing real estate services that are professional, competent, ethical, and results-oriented.
Although Dac is a new resident to the Charlotte area as of 2019, he has a long history of traveling to the city over the years for family and friends. He and his wife, Shannon, chose Charlotte for their two school-age sons because of proximity to family, quality of life, still-intact Southern charm, and the enormous growth they believe the Charlotte area will experience in the coming decade.

In his 25+ year career, Carver has partnered with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Coldwell Banker, GMAC Real Estate, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate, Centex Homes, David Weekley Homes, and Peachtree City Development Corporation.
In 2014, he was presented with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by his high school alma matter, Christ School, in Asheville, NC. The award is the school's highest honor and he was the youngest in the school's 120-year history to receive it. The award recognizes significant professional and personal accomplishments and contributions to society in general and Christ School in particular.
